In Valence, two families of scheme shape MEP engineering. The food-processing sector, strongly represented in the valley, follows a process logic, with cooling, air-treatment and hygiene needs that have nothing in common with commercial-office comfort and whose heat recovery constitutes the main opportunity. Logistics, driven by the motorway corridor, raises instead the question of heating and ventilating very large, sparsely occupied volumes, where conventional solutions are ineffective. In Valence, the sizing of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical technical packages determines summer comfort, RE2020 compliance and operating cost. Integrated MEP design, coordinated with equipment acoustics and the BMS, avoids costly rework on site.
