Across a social-housing estate, carbon performance matters as much in renovation as in new build. ARKEMEP conducts the LCA and RE2020 analysis adapted to each operation, factoring in the constraints of the existing estate (structures, stripping, materials).
It is a design engineering assignment, recurring across the estate and not coupled to any certification. Recurrence lets the method be industrialised and operations compared on a homogeneous basis.

Question
Deep retrofit or light intervention, the carbon answer is not obvious.
A deep renovation reduces operational energy but carries substantial embodied carbon: insulation, new systems, replaced windows, and the works themselves. Over the horizon usually considered, a lighter intervention repeated later can perform better, particularly on buildings whose operational consumption is already moderate.
The only way to know is to model both. Landlords who commit to a renovation standard across an estate without that comparison sometimes discover they have increased total emissions while improving every energy label.
Application
The model is an estate tool, not a project tool.
Run per building, a life-cycle comparison answers one question. Run across a portfolio, it ranks buildings by carbon-per-euro of intervention, which is the arbitration a landlord actually faces: not what to do to this building, but which buildings to do first.
That ranking also aligns with the tertiary decree obligation on the collective and administrative parts of the estate, whose trajectory is measured on the same consumption data.
