In Paris and the inner suburbs, the Seine and its banks, the large parks, the railway land and the Île-de-France Natura 2000 sites shelter a protected urban biodiversity that shapes the feasibility of projects. Wetlands, ecological continuities (the green and blue infrastructure of the SDRIF) and protected species call for rigorous surveys, including in a very urban context (buildings, brownfields, roofs). Our ecologists carry out four-season fauna and flora surveys, the VNEI, the Natura 2000 impact assessment and the CNPN application, managing the Avoid-Reduce-Offset mitigation hierarchy, for operations in Paris and across the Grand Paris.

In Paris, the wealth of natural habitats (Natura 2000 sites, ZNIEFF, protected species) makes ecological survey work a structuring prerequisite for development. Four-season surveys, VNEI, CNPN application and the mitigation hierarchy secure environmental authorisation and planning permission.
