Environmental expertise is a file-building discipline.
ARKENOR produces the environmental studies that French authorisations rest on: ecological surveys, impact assessments, water files, avoid-reduce-offset sequences, site supervision during works. The work is field-based and its value is evidentiary, what matters is that the conclusions can be defended, including years later.
The calendar governs everything. Ecological surveys follow the seasons, which means the environmental timetable is the earliest fixed point on most projects and the one least amenable to acceleration.
Independence
Producing a study and verifying it are different jobs.
ARKENOR builds files. It does not certify them, and it does not verify its own work as a third party. Where third-party verification is needed, it comes from an entity accredited for that purpose, which is a different company within the group with its own impartiality obligations.
Since Directive (EU) 2024/825, that distinction has legal consequences: an environmental claim substantiated by its own author is not substantiated.
Fields
What the studies actually cover.

Most projects need several of these, and their timetables interlock, which is why they are run together rather than commissioned one at a time as each becomes urgent.
