In Poitiers, the office schemes of the Futuroscope hub and the teaching premises of the campus have high and highly variable occupancy densities, a parameter that bears directly on the predicted concentrations and on the sizing of the ventilation. The simulation with INDALO makes it possible to test these occupancy scenarios at the design stage and to adjust air flow rates and product specifications before the certification file is assembled. This is a modelling study; the pre-occupancy measurements required by certain schemes fall to other providers.

In Poitiers, the indoor air quality of a new building is decided at the design stage, through two levers: the specification of products according to their emissions health labelling and the design of the ventilation. The simulation estimates the predicted concentrations and produces the technical justification expected by certification schemes, before choices are locked in.
