Indoor air quality simulation in Nice.

In Nice, the value of upmarket hotel and residential schemes makes the sanitary quality of spaces as much a selling point as a certification requirement. In a tight coastal market where projects target NF Habitat HQE, HQE or BREEAM, the control of emission sources and the design of the ventilation are decided upstream. The IAQ simulation makes it possible to arbitrate product specifications and air flow rates before works, and to document the targeted scheme.

In Nice, the indoor air quality of a new building is decided at the design stage, through two levers: the specification of products according to their emissions health labelling and the design of the ventilation. The simulation estimates the predicted concentrations and produces the technical justification expected by certification schemes, before choices are locked in.

Scope

The indoor air quality simulation builds on the ventilation design: airflow rates, sweeping principle, filtration and air-intake positioning are all sized by our MEP engineering office.

FAQ

FAQ, indoor air quality simulation in Nice

No. Our service is a simulation carried out at the design stage, using the INDALO tool from IZUBA énergies. We carry out no on-site air sampling or analysis. Measurement campaigns, in particular those required by the regulatory monitoring of public-access buildings, fall to accredited bodies and lie outside our scope.
It is there to inform decisions. It estimates the predicted concentrations according to the specified materials, the ventilation system and the occupancy scenarios, and makes it possible to compare variants before choices are locked in. It also produces the technical justification expected by the schemes, including the indoor air quality plan required as a prerequisite by BREEAM Hea 02.
HQE Bâtiment Durable on the sanitary air quality aspect, BREEAM Hea 02 for the IAQ plan required from the design stage, and NF Habitat / NF Habitat HQE on the indoor air profile. On the other hand, schemes that require an on-site measurement before occupancy, such as DGNB SOC1.2 or the WELL preconditions, additionally call for a measurement provider. Requirements depend on the version of the applicable scheme.
