Regulatory measurements & diagnostics in Montpellier.

A Mediterranean metropolis with one of the strongest population growth rates in France, Montpellier produces a large volume of new dwellings and amenities, in a climate where summer comfort determines real performance. At handover, air permeability measurement and verification of ventilation airflow rates determine whether the assumptions of the thermal study hold true on the delivered building. In Montpellier and across the Hérault we carry out regulatory acceptance measurements, as an independent third party, with compliance certificates.

Our measurements

Six families of measurements & diagnostics in Montpellier.

RE2020 air permeability testing

QUALIBAT 8711

Airtightness testing (Q4Pa-surf air permeability): an intermediate test at the weathertight-shell stage to correct defects before lining, and a regulatory RE2020 acceptance test on the finished building.

Acceptance acoustic testing

NF EN ISO 16283

Airborne sound insulation (DnT,A / DnT,A,tr), impact sound (L'nT,w), equipment noise and reverberation: verification of the NRA housing requirements and the ERP order, carried out as an independent third party.

RE2020 ventilation airflow testing

QUALIBAT 8741

Functional checking of ventilation systems (airflow rates, pressure drops, ductwork airtightness) required by RE2020 at the handover of new dwellings.

Housing and commercial energy performance certificate (DPE)

certified assessor

Legally binding energy performance certificate (DPE), issued by a certified assessor, for sale, letting and monitoring under the tertiary-sector decree.

Drone aerial inspection

DGAC drone pilot

Inspection of roofs and façades, aerial thermography, photogrammetry and mapping by drone (DGAC-registered drone pilot), on sites that are difficult to access.

Electromagnetic field (EMF) measurements

NF EN 50492

Low frequencies at 50 Hz (electric field kV/m, magnetic field µT) and radiofrequencies from 9 kHz to 300 GHz (V/m), following the UTE/NF C99-132 and ANFR protocols. A criterion recognised in HQE and NF Habitat certification.

Why ARKENOR

What the local competitor does not cover.

Independent third party

Acceptance measurements kept separate from design: an objective, enforceable certificate for the client.

Drone inspection (DGAC)

Aerial thermography and photogrammetry by a DGAC-registered drone pilot, for hard-to-reach sites in Montpellier.

Upstream → downstream chain

From calculation (ARKEMEP) to measurement (ARKENOR) and independent third-party certification (IRICE, Cofrac 5-0655).

FAQ

FAQ, measurements & diagnostics in Montpellier

Yes. ARKENOR conducts acceptance measurements (air permeability, acoustics, ventilation) as an independent third party, separate from the design engineering office, which guarantees the objectivity of the certificate towards the client/developer and the technical inspector.
Yes. RE2020 measurements are carried out under QUALIBAT 8711 (air permeability) and 8741 (ventilation system checking) qualifications, recognised for regulatory certificates at handover.
On-site measurements are scheduled according to the progress of the works and the location. An intermediate air permeability test is slotted in from the weathertight-shell stage; acceptance measurements are programmed before handover. We confirm the date once we receive the works programme and the drawings.
Because it is the item where the gap between calculation and reality is most frequent, and because RE2020 makes this verification mandatory for new housing. A poorly balanced network, blocked terminals or a badly set fan unit produce airflow rates far removed from declared values, with direct consequences for air quality and energy consumption. The measurement, carried out to the applicable protocol, objectively assesses the gap while it is still correctable by the contractor.
