On-site measurements are scheduled according to the progress of the works and the location. An intermediate air permeability test is slotted in from the weathertight-shell stage; acceptance measurements are programmed before handover. We confirm the date once we receive the works programme and the drawings.
As regards the protocol, no: the applicable standards are the same everywhere. As regards interpretation and scheduling, yes. The prevailing winds of the Basque coast limit the valid test slots for air permeability, and the airtightness defects observed often concentrate on the most exposed joinery. This is useful information for the client/developer: it directs repairs towards the points that will actually bear the constraint over time.
