Yes. RE2020 measurements are carried out under QUALIBAT 8711 (air permeability) and 8741 (ventilation system checking) qualifications, recognised for regulatory certificates at handover.
On-site measurements are scheduled according to the progress of the works and the location. An intermediate air permeability test is slotted in from the weathertight-shell stage; acceptance measurements are programmed before handover. We confirm the date once we receive the works programme and the drawings.
Not in itself, but it makes ventilation critical. The more airtight the envelope, the less ventilation defects are compensated by parasitic infiltration, and the more a poorly balanced network or a badly set fan unit translates directly into degraded air quality and moisture. This is why airflow measurement, mandatory for new housing under RE2020, must not be treated as a formality: on these buildings, it is the most useful check.
